Chinese bananas exported to Iran for the first time

On October 21st, after an inspection by the Zhanjiang Inspection and quarantine Bureau, a batch of fresh bananas will be exported to Iran for the first time. These bananas weigh 36,600 kg, and are worth 10.998 US dollars.

As one of the main banana cultivation areas in China, Zhanjiang city has around 33.000 hectares' of banana plantations, and their bananas mainly supply the domestic market. The last time Zhangjiang bananas were exported abroad was in 2013. Thanks to this export, Zhanjiang will be able to gain more experience to open up new markets in the near future.
