During the first nine months of 2015, Spanish fruit and vegetable exports to China totalled 3,027 tonnes, which is 168% more than in the same period of 2014. These shipments were worth three million Euro, 195% more, based on the data provided by ICEX.

Oranges have been the main product exported, with 2,719 tonnes, followed by lemons, with 108 tonnes, grapefruit, with 56 tonnes, and mandarins, with 55 tonnes.

The export volume of fresh fruit and vegetables from the EU to China remains small, taking into account the size of the market, totalling 25,396 tonnes in 2014, of which 17,771 tonnes corresponded to kiwis and 3,754 tonnes to apples.
