Focusing on fresh, frozen segments

Camposol consolidates as first Peruvian agroindustrial exporter

2015 was a year of consolidation for Camposol,
as world leader in the production of Hass avocados,
and a developing leader in blueberries. So far they have achieved positive results, with higher than average yields compared to those in the industry, and continue to lead the agribusiness in Peru; despite the presence of the natural phenomenon "El Niño" and the unfavorable international financial situation faced in some target markets.

In recent years, in line with its strategic plan, Camposol has invested significantly in specializing the company in the fresh fruits & vegetables segment, diversifying its portfolio of products and customers, as well as increasing its presence in key markets for the company with favorable and encouraging results.

Thus, in line with this vision, the Company has decided to continue empowering its fresh and frozen business segments, and exit the preserved business. These strategic changes in Camposol`s businesses are intended to allow for greater specialization, efficiency and focus on product categories in which the company has made significant investments in recent years, and thus maximize opportunities for growth and consolidation of their business.

In this regard, Camposol has signed an agreement with Sociedad Agrícola Virú, whereby it has transferred assets from its preserved business. Such assets include machinery from Camposol´s canning plant, as well as equipment and inventories, excluding agricultural and industrial fields where those operations took place, which remain Camposol´s property.

Additionally, through this agreement, Sociedad Agrícola Virú will use Camposol´s packing plant services for the processing of its fresh fruits and vegetables, due to the degree of specialization and efficiency of Camposol in these product categories.

Meanwhile, the development of Camposol Trading, specialized in fresh produce handling, has also shown positive results, and the current client base of their commercial offices in the US and Europe include the largest and most prestigious supermarkets in the world, such as Edeka, Kaufland, Walmart, Costco, Sam's, Publix, Kroger, HEB, Metro, Loblaws, amongst others.
