Greek plum exports enter the Indian market

Mr George Polihronakis, Specialist Consultant for the Association of Greek Fruit, Vegetable and Juice Exporting Companies, INCOFRUIT - HELLAS, has welcomed the entry of Greek plum exports into India. In his statement, he said that "after years of hard work from members of our Association, and with the assistance of relevant departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, today we made the first shipment of fresh plums to the Indian market. This is the result of the efforts made to open up new markets for Greek products, fresh fruit and vegetables."

He added that "we welcome this important development, which will hopefully lead to greater awareness and participation of all the competent services of the ministries in an effort to conquer new markets and to get ahead of our competitors in terms of speed and efficiency."

"With the start of the new export marketing year 2014/2015 for products like citrus fruits, kiwis, apples, cucumbers, etc., we make a call to the State to take all appropriate measures to facilitate the promotion of Greek exports in India, Korea, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, Argentina, Australia and China," he concluded.
