The revenue generated by Azerbaijan's agricultural production in the first half of 2014 amounted to AZN 2.3 billion, which exceeds the figure for the same period in 2013 by 5.8%. This was reported by the Minister of Agriculture, Heydar Assad, during a speech at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of socio-economic development in the first half of 2014 and the challenges ahead.
"The share of Azerbaijan's agricultural production in the country's GDP remained at 4.4%. The export of fruits and vegetables increased by 27.9% compared to the first half of 2013, reaching 68.9 million dollars in revenue," said the Minister
