"The "change agent"

Easyfresh offers solutions to uncertainties within the cold chain

The industry is currently facing important challenges which will strongly influence the food and agricultural sector in the coming years. Multiple sources, competitive pricing, constant re-scheduling of shipping lines switching their primary focus to dry cargo, together with increasing certification and product demands, are shifting relationships in the cold chain.

Subsequently, Easyfresh has implemented a plan to firmly offer solutions to retailers, which help minimize uncertainties in the cold chain. A “Key Account Program” has been initiated in the different world regions of Easyfresh. The European program is more mature and Easyfresh is taking advantage of its solid and leading position in the Mediterranean to Europe perishable trades :

As Rafael Llerena, CEO Easyfresh, says “We are market leaders in the Israel, Egypt or Cyprus to inland Europe, through the Adriatic ports of Koper, Trieste or Ravenna. We achieve first-class transit times. We follow very tightly the dynamics of the shipping lines and the specific documentary requirements. This is a key step towards granting a stable service to retailers and stick to their loading program. We already work heavily with most of their suppliers in those countries. Now is time to commit with the “other end”, which ultimately is controlling the trade. We are satisfactorily advancing in this process and are having excellent reactions.”

Players need to understand each other’s role and here Easyfresh is making a vast marketing effort all around the world. Anne Maurier, Easyfresh HO Marketing Mngr indicates : “We need to explain that we are THE tool for the retailers’ logistics teams. We want to be their “change agent”, since we have a reefer logistic expert in the countries where they get the produce from and another expert in the country of delivery”.

There are a number of solutions that Easyfresh can offer to customers. For example, exceptional coldstore facilities and personalized services, like those in The Netherlands. Others like NWC/UK & Ireland Reefer service in 45 reefer boxes, etc. Overall Easyfresh is to add value to the customers with a ”taylor-made” and “both end’s reefer mentality”, understanding the retailers requirements in Asia, Europe, Brazil or anywhere in the world.
