"An even broader range under one roof"

MBF Savannah operations to start from De Mooij Amsterdam location on 5 May

The operations of Meadowbrook Farms (MBF) Savannah will be conducted from De Mooij Amsterdam's location at the Food Center starting 5 May. MBF Savannah specialises in importing exotic fruits and vegetables, including haricot verts, sugar snaps, mangetouts, and various specialties from the African continent. They are also known for their premium-quality, air-freighted, tree-ripened mangoes from Peru, Mexico, and West Africa.

As a wholesaler, De Mooij Amsterdam focuses specifically on importing European products. "We started talking and realised we have a large overlap in our customer base. This led to the new collaboration, allowing customers to access an even broader range at a single location," says Danny de Mooij.

MBF Savannah's location in Hoofddorp will be closed to make way for new construction, after which Ad Verkerk and his team will manage operations from Amsterdam. "Since Hoofddorp and Amsterdam are fairly close to each other, the move is manageable for employees. By integrating warehousing, logistics, and sales, we can serve our customers even more effectively. In addition, a step toward digitalisation is being taken to ensure continuity of operations in the future."
