Lineage expands Australian operations with Fremantle City Coldstores acquisition

Lineage (NASDAQ: LINE), a temperature-controlled warehouse REIT, has confirmed the acquisition of Fremantle City Coldstores (FCC), a cold-storage company based in Fremantle, Western Australia.

According to Lineage President for Asia Pacific, Brooke Miller, the expansion aligns with the company's long-term growth strategy in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. FCC adds nearly 42,000 cubic meters of storage space and over 8,000 pallet positions to Lineage's operations in Western Australia, complementing its existing facility in Perth.

Lineage Regional Vice President for Australia, Morris Guest, noted that FCC's proximity to Fremantle Port, Western Australia's largest general cargo hub, enhances logistical efficiency. The facility, located less than 10 kilometers from the port, is expected to improve service accessibility for customers.

FCC includes six blast cells with a combined blast freezing capacity of nearly 250,000 kilograms. The facility is also equipped with rooftop solar capacity.

With this acquisition, Lineage now operates 15 facilities across Australia.
