More than 5,666 hectares of blueberries have recently entered the harvest season in Majiang County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Guizhou Province. Fruit farmers and enterprises are busy picking and processing blueberries to supply the market.
Majiang County has taken advantage of blueberry planting to integrate the development of agricultural and tourism industries and a whole industry chain has been formed through advancing variety research and development, seedling breeding, planting base building, fruit processing and sales. The industry has increased the employment of the county as well as the income of farmers involved in the industry.
