Since the beginning of this year, 180 tons of apricots, nectarines, peaches, and plums have arrived in the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation from abroad, according to the regional office of the Department of Agricultural Supervision.
This figure is twice as high as last year's. The fruits came from Turkey, Chile, and South Africa. Supplies of apricots from Turkey increased two-fold to 39 tons. The import of Turkish nectarines and peaches was 41 tons.
In addition, 98 tons of plums were imported from South Africa, which is 47 tons more than last year. Also, 2 tons of nectarines and plums from Chile were delivered to the region. The products were released for circulation.
