The Primorsky Interregional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor prevented the import of a batch of fresh lettuce, a quarantine pest for the EAEU was identified.
According to the test protocol dated May 26, 2023, in a batch of lettuce with a total weight of 0.6 tons, a pest quarantined for the EAEU - western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis Pergande) was detected in a shipment coming from China.
The Rosselkhoznadzor Administration has banned the release of products. By choice of the owner, the lettuce batch will be destroyed.
It should be noted that since the beginning of May, the Rosselkhoznadzor administration has twice banned the import of lettuce from China with a total weight of 0.3 tons due to the identification of a quarantine pest for the EAEU in products.
