There are a lot of greens, ripe vegetables, berries and fruits on the shelves

In May, the assortment in the capital market of Belarus is almost summer-like

Belarusians demand vegetables such as beets, carrots and potatoes, the main ingredients of borscht, all year round and now their prices have become more reasonable.

As we approach summer, tomatoes have become more affordable. Cucumbers have significantly decreased in price compared to early spring. Bulgarian peppers, white and Peking cabbage are available on the shelves. Radishes are being offered at an attractive price.

The locals also love greens such as fresh onions, dill and parsley. They can be found on the market at any time of the year.

The assortment of fruits and berries is also pleasing. Sweet cherries, apricots, apples of different varieties, and large grapes are already available. Prices for pomegranates, kiwis, oranges, lemons, nectarines, mangoes and plums are more affordable.

Watermelons have also appeared on the shelves at the market, but they are not yet cheap.

In the middle of May, there are also plenty of berries on the shelves, such as raspberries and blueberries. Although, the prices are less affordable.
