“The Moroccan blueberry campaign has been consistent in volumes and prices”

“We still have two to three weeks of marketing left for the Moroccan blueberry season, but with the weather-related problems that production has experienced lately, the season could end at any time,” explains Arnaud of Lacour, a company present on the Rungis market. The campaign started four months ago and has been generally positive. “We were satisfied with the quality of the products. We have been working with this origin for 4-5 years for blueberries and raspberries, and we prefer it to Spain because it arrives earlier, the varieties have a nice caliber and they are better processed. There is also more regularity in volumes, which is an undeniable asset for our clients.”

The volumes have indeed been regular for this Moroccan season, with prices that also remained relatively stable throughout the campaign. “Of course, there are periods when blueberries sell better than others. But the regularity in terms of quality, volumes and prices, has allowed our clients to follow us throughout the season.”

Besides blueberries, Lacour also sells imported grapes, a whole range of exotic fruits, tomatoes, kiwis, eggplants, citrus fruits, melons, watermelons and red fruits.
