Photo Report: Toronto, Canada fresh produce retail visit

Vibrant displays of the freshest fruit and vegetables, sourced from around the world, were seen on the shelves of different retailers in Toronto, Canada last week (25-27 April 2023). During last week’s Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) exhibition in Toronto, a few retailers and greengrocers in the well-known Kensington Market and China Town were visited.

The new and largest Farm Boy in Downtown, close to the Toronto Harbour Foreshore, was visited too. It is the largest at over 29,000 square foot of the chain’s 49 stores across the Ontario province. The group started out as a greengrocer 42 years ago and remains true to their passion of offering quality fresh produce at good prices to customers.

Canada’s leading retail chain Loblow’s with a very large fresh produce section was also visited for this photo report. The Downtown store has a very big and colourful fresh produce section with different types of tomatoes, mushrooms, greens as well as exotic and other fruit for sale. One can see the great care Canada’s greengrocers as well as retailers make to source great quality while ensuring the fruits and vegetables are displayed beautifully to ensure customers are attracted and buying.
