The executive director of the Brazilian Association of Fruit and Derivatives Exporters (Abrafrutas), Eduardo Brandão, is actively participating in the Agricultural Auxiliary Industry Trade Mission in Almería, Spain, in 2024. Invited by the Spanish Government, this initiative aims at fostering the exchange of agricultural knowledge and technology, while also seeking to strengthen strategic partnerships within the sector. "We are faced with an opportunity that aims to strengthen commercial ties and explore new business opportunities in one of the most important agricultural hubs in Europe," stated Eduardo Brandão.
The mission includes representatives from fifteen countries and features a visit to the Agricultural Technological Center of the TECNOVA Foundation. It also organizes B2B meetings with companies from the Andalusia region to promote international cooperation and identify synergies between the Brazilian and Spanish markets. Andalusia, a region with a rich agricultural tradition and climatic similarities to the Brazilian semi-arid region, excels in sustainable agricultural technologies and is a leader in olive oil production and organic food production in Europe.
"This mission provides us with a unique opportunity to get to know an agricultural model of excellence, based on the family economy and the effective application of innovative technologies," Brandão emphasized. Abrafrutas' involvement in this mission underscores the association's dedication to the internationalization and growth of the Brazilian fruit market.
