Pasadena, California-based Sun Pacific® has hired citrus veteran, Dave Medders, as their new VP of Sales. Medders took on his new role on February 25 and will oversee sales for Sun Pacific’s citrus portfolio which includes: Cuties® America’s original mandarin brand, Mighties® kiwifruit, Sun Pacific® navels, Vintage Sweets® Heirloom navels, Cara Caras, minneolas, and lemons.
“Dave has built an impressive track record in the citrus industry over the past 20 years. His vast citrus sales experience and expansive product knowledge are valuable assets to our team. He will play an instrumental role leading our sales team and developing customer programs that maximize citrus category sales”, states Barney Evans, President of Sun Pacific. “Beside his sales and farming experience, Dave brings of lot of energy and passion to our team. His love for the citrus business makes him a great fit for both Sun Pacific and our customers.”
Medders started his career with Griffith Farms where he worked in the ranches and the packing houses before going into sales for Suntreat and later Sunkist. He spent the last 14 years at Dimetri Gardikas Produce Company performing procurement and sales responsibilities for both domestic and import citrus, and the last 5 years in a sales management role.
