The strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, blackcurrants and blackberries from own soil are currently found in the fruit departments of the regional supermarkets and there is much enthusiasm. Regional tastings are currently organized for these new convenience products in the supermarkets, with suppliers directly addressing the consumer. In addition to the food retail trade, the newly launched product lines are also establishing themselves within the catering trade, as well as in farm shops, as office fruit and as a healthy snack for in between. As a result, it is not unthinkable that Levenig products will be available nationwide in the near future.
Other product lines
Feedback so far shows that consumers appreciate the combination of fresh sweet fruits and delicious gravy. All sauces are packaged and sealed separately in the cup to keep the fruit fresh and crisp until consumption. There is even a spoon, right inside the cup.
In the field of strawberries, the Allegro variety is used: a sugary sweet variety, which is very well suited as a healthy snack for in between. In addition, Levenig Fresh GmbH is also responding to the great demand for healthy and allergen-free products: that is the reason that the aforementioned snack cups are also available with lactose-free yoghurt. The use of flavor enhancers is completely omitted in the production of these fruit-to-go cups.

New expansions of existing ranges are already in the planning phase: by August there will be an independent children's line and biodegradable packaging solutions are already being tested.

Family business
The Levenig Beerenobstkulturen GmbH company is a family business and has been cultivating its own berries (on about 200 hectares) in Nörvenich-Pingsheim (North Rhine-Westphalia, near Cologne) for more than 40 years. Due to the consistently positive response, further development was pursued and the family business expanded into a well-known berry supplier. The largest part of the area is reserved for strawberries, but the company also has raspberries, blackcurrants, blackberries and gooseberries in its assortment.
The logical consequence of the founding of Levenig Fresh GmbH in 2018 was to process their own fruit directly from the field, transforming them into tasty and healthy snacks through their own company. The newly built Aussiedlerhof, just outside Nörvenich-Pingsheim, created the ideal conditions for this.
