Influence of frost on winter cauliflower still unclear

From March onward the Dutch traders in cauliflower will be looking forward to the Dutch winter cauliflower. With the cold nights this week it remains to be seen what the supply will be like. "It's hard to predict. The crop wasn't affected so far. But it was very cold last night due to the strong winds. Most growers have covered their cultivation, so I think it will be okay, but we will have to wait and see," says Jan Kors of growers union White Pearl.

Frost is forecast for the next few nights as well. It will become clear over the coming week to what extent the winter crops have been damaged.
