4th Annual industry Half Your Plate hockey game announced

When: Tuesday, April 24, 2018 – 5:30p.m. – 7:00p.m.

Where: Britannia Community Centre, 1661 Napier Street, Vancouver, BC

What: Raising awareness for living a healthier lifestyle, the Half Your Plate hockey game is back for another year! On April 24th, 2018, the produce industry will gather for a bit of friendly competition and exercise at Vancouver’s Britannia Rink.

New for 2018, we’re introducing a 3-on-3 tournament sponsored by Little Potato Company followed by the “big game.” The 3-on-3 tournament will have quick 10 minute games with pond hockey rules. We’ll have extra helmets and sticks on hand so you only need to bring skates if you’d like to participate in this portion of the event. The teams with the most goals play for trophies and prizes, but all players will receive a souvenir game shirt.

We’re looking for players of all skill levels to join us in Vancouver for this fun competition…and we’ve got some Olympic Team Canada women’s hockey players to help us out again this year!

Who: This year’s big game will be the Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) vs the BC Produce Marketing Association (BCPMA).

Register yourself or your corporate team today! Just email hockey@cpma.ca for registration details. CPMA would like to thank Dole, IFCO, Litehouse, the Little Potato Company, mike & mike’s organics, Oppy, and Organicgirl for sponsoring this event.
