In February 2018, Beijing Fruitong Science & Technology Co., Ltd. initiated and organized a Chinese delegation of investors, companies and other related parties to visit European countries including the Netherlands, Germany and Italy, to study the development of European agricultural products, especially for fruits and vegetables. The delegation was trying to understand the rationales from farm to supermarket and learn the way to build brands. During the trip, one of the most impressive findings was that most of the fruit production areas in the Netherlands are equipped with large-scale controlled atmosphere storehouses for mid- and long-term storage and supplying the market in all the different seasons.

Fruitong's partner in Europe installed its latest warehouse sealing technology in its newly-built controlled atmosphere storehouse in 2017. During the visit to the controlled atmosphere storehouses in production areas in the Netherlands, the delegation not only learned about the new technology, but also were inspired by the design of the building.
Fruit sorting lines
When it comes to the standardization and commercialization of agricultural products - especially for fruits - sorting equipment and production lines have to be mentioned. KIWIUNO and RIVOIRA, two well-known brands of kiwifruit and apple in Cuneo province, Italy. Both use the Dutch supplier AWETA's sorting line, which is Fruitong's partner in Europe. KIWIUNO has a 12-channel AWETA sorting line for kiwis; RIVOIRA uses 5-channels AWETA pre-sorting line for apples, and RIVOIRA also has the largest fully-automatic controlled atmosphere storehouse for apples in Europe.
