Washington apple growers partner with reusable packaging company

Polymer Logistics, a reusable packaging and merchandising solutions company, is pleased to announce that it will provide reusable transport packaging to the Chelan Fruit Cooperative and Gebbers Farms growers, starting with the 2017-2018 apple season.

“We are excited to partner with this well-known and highly respected group of Washington state growers,” said Fred Heptinstall, CEO of Polymer Logistics North America. “Their passion for growing and delivering high-quality fruit, excellent year-round customer service, operational excellence, and innovation aligns perfectly with our core competencies and values.”

“Chelan Fruit is very excited for the opportunity to work with Polymer Logistics,” said Reggie Collins, CEO of Chelan Fruit Cooperative. “The quality and integrity of their RPC has impressed us from the start. Along with this, their Customer Service has gone above and beyond our expectations, which has created a seamless transition to their RPC. We look forward to seeing the relationship with their company continue to grow.”

Polymer Logistics reusable transport packaging, including both black and wood grain RPCs, is designed for product protection, stacking strength and stability, optimal air flow, and operational efficiency. “A partnership with Polymer Logistics goes beyond the structural advantages of our crates,” said Heptinstall. “We collaborated closely with each growing operation of Chelan Fruit and Gebbers Farms to understand their specific operational requirements and develop a customized, end-to-end supply chain and asset management solution to ensure a continuous loop of clean, fresh, ready-to-use RPCs.”
