New vegetable packaging launched

In November of last year, Veggie Produce was created; a vegetable grower-shipper from Guatemala who exports produce to the US. “It is a new company and a new produce brand at the same time,” says Mariel Hidalgo, who works as Sales & Marketing Consultant for Veggie Produce. “Customers will be able to recognize the company as well as the brand name when they buy our product,” added Hidalgo. In the US, Veggie Produce is based in Miami.

New packaging
Just a month ago, the company launched new packaging for its green beans. “The goal of the new packaging was to transmit freshness and quality as that is what our products represent,” said Hidalgo. “I also wanted to focus on the consumer’s desire to eat healthy. Consumers buy with their eyes and my goal was to create packaging that differentiates itself from other products available on the shelf.”

In addition to green beans, snow peas and sugar snap peas are also sold under the Veggies Produce brand. The company plans on adding mini veggies as well. At the moment, the products are available in 1 lb. packages, but to meet the customer’s needs, Veggie Produce is willing to create custom packaging. All vegetable varieties are grown in Guatemala. “The country has different micro climates that make it ideal for any vegetable variety.”
