Metro made a successful start to the year

Metro AG increased like-for-like sales in the first quarter of 2017/18, according to preliminary and unaudited figures, above the previous year's level. "Overall, we performed solidly in a challenging market environment in the Christmas quarter, with sales in the first quarter in line with the full-year outlook. We continue to adhere to our forecast for the 2017/18 financial year,” said Olaf Koch, CEO of Metro AG.
