Italy: New fennel packaging and cosmetic line by Paolillo

"2017 was a good year as we managed to achieve a lot. To us, innovation means choosing a path made up of a lot of small steps leading to improvement. It's not an easy path, though," explains Mariapia Paolillo, administration manager and founding partner of Paolillo together with brothers Ciro and Gennaro.

At Fruit Logistica 2018, the company will introduce the new Finocchio Snack tray as well as the exclusive Foen cosmetic line with fennel extract.

Finocchio Snack's new packaging (in the photo) represents a change within the range - from traditional 500 gram fennel to two 250 gram pieces. Specific information on origin, nutritional value and advice are provided.

"Our slogan is 'a small fennel for a lot of well being'. A mini-vegetable with the same organoleptic qualities as a normal-sized fennel: white, round, crunchy, sweet, aromatic and with the advantage of reducing waste, as the heart is entirely edible."

It's ideal as a healthy snack rich in fibre and is perfect to be enjoyed in the office, at school or on the go. "It's destined to be eaten mainly raw, as it would lose most of its nutritional properties when cooked. Our target is a dynamic market that is increasingly characterised by the frantic pace of modern everyday life."

But the real innovation is the Foen face and body cream line, made up of four products:

Anti-ageing cream (fennel and stem cell extract)
Antioxidant serum (fennel and hyaluronic acid extract)
Anti-cellulite cream (fennel and pineapple extract)
Toning gel (fennel and hop extract)

"We will introduce the line in Berlin and the products will become available on www.foenstore.com as of April 2018," concludes Mariapia.

Between 7th and 9th February 2018, Paolillo will be part of the APOC stand in Hall 4.2, Stand B-13, with its fresh fennel.
