26 yellow-skinned varieties and 4 red-skinned varieties were analysed. Levante is a medium-late variety. Plants are vigorous and very productive with medium-grade oval tubers. Skin is light yellow with yellow flesh.
Corinna is a very early variety with medium vigour. Highly productive, tubers have good grades with a high saleable percentage. Short oval tubers, dark yellow peel and yellow flesh. Corinna is highly tolerant to rhizoctonia and mildew and medium-highly tolerant to scabies.
Desiree, the recent Alouette (also suitable for organic crops) and Yona remain a reference among the red varieties. Weight varies between 140 and 160 g with grades between 45-75 mm. They are all intermediate to medium-late.
