New Cinema Commercial: Germany: Aldi Süd takes viewers into space
Just three weeks before the opening of the new Star Wars movie, Aldi Süd will be taking moviegoers into space: Aldi Süd’s second cinema commercial will hit the screens starting on the 23rd of November, creating a true blockbuster mood.
At the heart of the story are four astronauts, living on a space station. But suddenly they run out of provisions. Ground control is baffled at first - but then they have a great idea: Why not just send a whole Aldi Süd branch into space? In this shop they have all sorts of things: fresh fruit and vegetables, pasta, delicious convenience dishes and many other well-known private label products from the Aldi Süd range. The commercial features exciting music, which was composed specifically for this clip. And it uses the well-known quote from film classic Apollo 13: "Houston, we have a problem".
This is the second time Aldi Süd has been present on the big screen. Last year, in the first cinema commercial, the almighty Zeus realized that true luxury is not found on Mount Olympus but on the ground, at ALDI. He realized that "Really ALDI can only do ALDI". This year the cinema advert has the same motto: "Really ALDI can only ALDI". Sandra Sibylle Schoofs, Head of Marketing at Aldi Süd, said: “The commercial gives our customers an insight into our modernized branches, in a humorous way." She added: “With this commercial we were able to tell an exciting story that makes for a great atmosphere in the cinema and ties an emotional experience to the Aldi Süd brand.”
