On the 15th of November the Longyuanhong fruit trading company from Jingchuan county successfully exported 36 tons of red Fuji apples to Russia. The majority of apple orchards in Jingchuan county are located on the Loess Plateau. The conditions here are excellent for growing apples. The elevation is high. Sunlight is abundant. The difference in temperature between day and night is great. And the soil is rich. This is a production area for high quality, organic, red Fuji apples. The export volume of apples from Pingliang prefecture, which includes Jingchuan county, and Qingyang prefecture together reached 31,218 tons with a value of 30,920,000 USD.
