Canova introduces first range of organic vegetable spaghettis

Canova, part of Gruppo Apofruit, is an Italian specialist in organic produce and a licencee of the Almaverde Bio brand.

After an agreement signed with OrtoRomi for their soup and vegetable extract range, organic vegetable spaghetti has now been introduced on the market. It is an entirely new product in Italy and it meets the increasing need for innovative healthy products that are easy to use.

Vegetable spaghetti will be part of the "Gli Spaghi" line and will include a variety of flavours and mixes, with courgettes, carrots, beetroots, pumpkin, broccoli, celeriac and kohlrabi.

The packaging, which has an appealing design, can go in the microwave but the spaghetti can also be cooked in a pan or eaten raw in salads.

Vegetable spaghettis are booming both in Italy and Europe as they are much appreciated for their flavour and because they are healthy with a low calorie content. In addition, they are organic.

It is common knowledge that replacing a high-calorie carbohydrate meal with another rich in fibre and vitamins can help reduce cholesterol as well as the daily calorie intake therefore making it easier to be healthy.

There are many simple recipes to choose from to create new tasty and colourful dishes. These spaghettis are also perfect for children, so much so that the staff at Canova are working on a series of innovative recipes. What is more, unlike pasta, they are gluten free and therefore suitable for gluten-intolerant people as well as for vegans and vegetarians.
