Largest intelligent agricultural greenhouse built on Chinese soil

A few days ago, the first intelligent agricultural greenhouse was opened in Dezhou (Shandong province). The intelligent agricultural greenhouse in Linyi county, taking up 7 hectares, has officially started business. One greenhouse occupies 7 hectares and has a total investment of 170 million RMB. It has a fixed amount of 114,781 tomato plants and can produce a total value of 80 million RMB. 

It turns the traditional methods completely upside down, as one flick of a switch can control the plantation from a distance. On October 23rd the greenhouse finished planting its first trees and a total amount of 114,781 tomato plants will be able to produce near 5,100 tons and will have a yearly output value of 80 million RMB.

According to reports, the first few tomato plants include 4 tomato varieties: large pink tomatoes, large red tomatoes, cherry tomatoes and cocktail tomatoes. It is estimated that the first batches will be ready for the market halfway through January 2018. The main target markets are Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong and other cities where the population exceeds 50,000 people. The main industrial customers are KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Asia-Pacific International, Fu Xi and other companies that are amongst the global top 500.
