China: First international cooling containers go to Russia

On September 25th, a special train fully loaded with international cooling containers of the Longhai type, carrying onions, departed from Qiqihar railway station (Heilongjiang province). This special train will leave the country near the trading post in Manzhouli city (Inner Mongolia province) and head for Russia's capital Moscow. The departure of this special train marks the official start of operations for the first international cooling transit train to Russia. This will deepen the cooperation and contact with Russia all round and will provide a channel for cooled exports of agricultural products from the region to be sent to Europe. It also effectively boosts Heilongjiang in becoming a new commercial engine along the border.
