On 1 of September, the China (International) Fruit Conference took place at Intercontinental Hotel in Shanghai. The conference was organized by the China Food and Livestock Import and Export Association and the China Fruit Marketing Association, with help and support from the Shanxi Fruit Industry Administration Bureau, the Ministry of Commerce and the provincial government of Shanxi.
People present at the conference included officials from the Ministry of Commerce, the head of the China Fruit Marketing Association, the head of Shanxi Fruit Industry Administration Bureau, the deputy director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, the Deputy director of the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Commerce, the Director of the Foreign Trade Division of the Ministry of Commerce and the Director of the State Administration of Quality Supervision. Embassy employees and business professionals from France, the United States, Britain, Germany, South Africa, Chile, Ecuador and Costa Rica also attended the conference to exchange ideas and opinions about the future development of the fruit industry in China.
