Aweta's apple processing lines sold in Germany

For decades Aweta has had sorting grading and packing machines for apples as its core business.

Now we are unveiling the four leaf clover i.e. the four pillars of Aweta's leadership in apple processing lines:

1 - The Powervision, external quality selector.

2 - Calistar, the unbeatable state-of- the-art grader for apples.

3 - The Inscan IQA, internal quality selector.

4 - Outstanding experience in water flume engineering and construction.

Also, a new state of the art presizing line joins the list of products for Aweta customers.

Aweta has supplied a complete line, from bin dumping to bin stacking, using all its know-how and quality, to the company OGM Obstgroßmarkt Mittelbaden eG., Oberkirch, Germany. The line has a capacity of 14 T/h, thanks to a 6 lanes Calistar grader and 34 water flumes with 2 water bin fillers.

The line is equipped with Powervision 3D for external quality selection: a sensor that, now in its 4th generation, is well known and has been installed worldwide.

PowerVision 3D uses high definition digital cameras and LED technology to detect any given parameter of imperfection on apples. PowerVision 3D guarantees that quality specifications specifically set by users are met. Apples may have been exposed to insect bites and severe weather conditions, they may show bruises or other damage such as bitter pit, russet, and external rot, but no matter how difficult the challenge, the Aweta sensor can be trained to see and sort it out.

PowerVision 3D distinguishes and identifies different shades of colour russeting, stem-end russeting and separates blush from background colours. It's the most advanced solution for detecting external defects on apples.

The Calistar grader, with its unique and patented features, uses the utmost care in all product transport phases. Supple rubber grippers carry products from the machine's start to the end: from an in-water aligning system, through the whole sorting machine, to the product's final destination. Then products are delicately released via a rotating brush to dedicated water flumes, according to the chosen sorting program.

Low Maintenance - High Reliability.
What makes this machine so unique is that all the relevant components: electronics, drive, transport units, chains etc. are located above the product: Component layout prevents any possible contamination from water or other sources (debris, residues, leaves, furs, etc), thus avoiding possible misreading and sorting result distortion.

The Inscan IQA is a patented sensor for measuring non-destructive internal characteristics which determine the quality of each apple. The Inscan sensor detects, on each product passing the sensor, important internal quality features like maturity, sugar content, dry matter, internal physiological defects, values that are in strict connection with product taste, i.e. those that determine consumer perception: the empirical experience that is worth more than any possible fascinating theory.

The fourth leaf of the glover is represented by the water flumes engineering and construction connected with the robot to ease handling of 300 or even 400 kg bins.

Aweta Sistemi water flumes are entirely made of stainless steel complete with automated opening valves and PLC water flow control to ensure prompt and fluid fruit evacuation of the full channel during emptying.

With no stop, water flumes lead fruit to an efficient and automatic bin water filler whose main features are: High capacity, a patented filling system and delicacy: it is the most delicate filler on the market.

Following products in their way downstream, full bins coming out of the water will be collected and stacked by a robot that performs all actions jointly: collection, lifting and stacking, according to sorting results. Being at the same time capable of doing the same action the other way round: i.e. de-stacking, lifting and the distributing of empty containers. No matter how difficult the job configurations are, the Aweta Accumulation Robot can do it and with ease!

The main features are: High capacity: up to 90 bins/h; different stacking patterns: takes up to three or four bins, double row, bin dock floating allocation, overall height 4 m; safe machine muting in order to collect bin stacks, while no stoppage of the machine is required.

This kind of Aweta high-tech and state of the art production can be seen in more than 60 countries around the world and has its points of excellence in complete solutions from sorting / grading up to packing and palletizing.

We do deliver complete solutions in response to enquiries, but meeting much more than just your expectations! This has been our goal since our first beginning, back in 1966. Even now that Aweta is a community of 280 people with the same intent and the same dreams, we put the focus on customers and develop, produce and supply multitasking innovative sorting and packing installations for fruit and vegetables. We claim that we can make your fortune on four leaf clover as we did for our own fortune!
