Algeria halts import of fruit juices

The Algerian authorities have stopped the importation of a number of food stuffs. This is due to the financial situation the country finds itself in, as a result of the decline in oil and gas revenues. These include products like soups, preserves and fruit juices. The restriction of imports is taking place via the Algerian Banks. They will not provide foreign currency or credit for the purchase of these products.
