Strawberry market week 20
Germany: Demand for strawberries low
In week 20 Italy dominated the German market for strawberries and then came Spain and the domestic strawberries. The offer from the Netherlands and France this week was small. From Belgium in week 20 there no supply. Low night temperatures put their stamp on the availability. The demand was not really on high and also the quality of the products was generally weak. Only at the Weekend did the demand increase. The average price was at a reasonably low level. The most was paid for the German fruit (5.08 per kg) and the Italian the least (2.74 per kg).
