Fresh and tropical fruit to benefit the most from this treaty
FTA between Chile and Malaysia enters into force
"From now on 98.6% of Chilean products will enter duty free to Malaysia, for example fresh fruits, while from Malaysia to Chile 95% of total exports products will enter with zero tariff, including tropical fruits," said Contreras.
On the other hand, Antonio Walker, president of FEDEFRUTA, said that "trade liberalization in Malaysia will diversify our markets, deepen and increase our involvement in South East Asia, a destination that represents huge opportunities for our products."
FTA between Chile and Malaysia enters into force
The Director General of International Economic Relations (DIRECON), Rodrigo Contreras, said on April 18th the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Chile and Malaysia entered into force.
