German fruit export plummets
The German Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft (AMI) announces that the German fruit export in 2011 has plummeted with almost 8% in comparison to 2010. 746,700 tons of fruit has been exported, the lowest amount in the past 6 years. Bananas, which of course first need to be imported, make 50% of the market share, this had a big influence on the export market. The banana export lowered by 9% in comparison to 2010.
