Netherlands: Staay Food Group will exclusively market Monterosa tomatoes

The Monterosa, which has gone from 25 to 100 hectares in Spain in only a year, continues to spread its reputation in Europe with its presence in fairs and the promotion of its qualities. It is a tomato with the aromatic Mediterranean flavour, typical of summer, but available in winter, with a very characteristic and attractive pink skin.

"We saw this tomato for the first time at the fair Fruit Attraction, in Madrid." We were very impressed by its pink colour and shape, and we realised that it was something really different and we became very interested in the Monterosa project from Gavà Grup. This has led us to close an exclusive agreement to market it in the Netherlands," explains Nico Veldhoen, of Staay Group.

"We have only been marketing it for two weeks and we are already very satisfied. It is a beautiful tomato and very tasty, and this, together with our exclusivity, is allowing us to sell it very easily," he affirms.

Staay Food Group has commercial offices in Papendrecht, with Staay-Hispa; in Alblasserdam, with Staay Export; and in Venrijseweg, with Staay Van Rijn.
