New app helps you to buy the right fruit

First of its kind app, Best Fruit Now has something for consumers and retailers. The apps Fruit Buying Guide offers consumers monthly suggestions on what fruits to buy and avoid. “On the retail side, the inexperienced clerk will enjoy the Fruit Scoops section which offers interesting facts and tips on hundreds of varieties of fresh fruits. The app makes consumers smarter fruit shoppers and retail clerks smarter fruit sellers”, explains Tom Kovacevich. “This is more than just a matter of what is ‘in season’ in a generic way. There are good years and bad for fruit varieties.”
Tom is trying everything that passes through his market, this is where he gets his information to say what is worth buying. One particular variety of pear, for example, might be good this month, while another expected hit might be disappointing. This information is useful when you are at the store.
Besides the tips to select the best fruit, the App also provides also video recipes and fun fruit tidbits. The app is available at the Apple app store now and will be coming soon to Android phones.
