Iran: pistachio harvest was started in the city Haji Aabad

“The harvest process of Pistachio has been started since early Shahrivar (September) and will be lasting for a month,” said Mansour Shafiei. “The under cultivation area of this cities’ gardens’ Pistachio is 800 Hectares that 350 Hectares of which are saplings and 450 Hectares are fruitful,” he added.



“These areas are proper for the cultivation of this product because of seasonable water and soil conditions and this area is expanding each year,” asserted the Head of Agricultural Jihad of this city announcing that the Northern areas of Iran like Dehnoud, Khoshen Aabad, Dasht Azadegan, Kashkouieh and Saaleh Aabad are among the major areas of Pistachio cultivation.

“It’s predicted that in current year functionality equals to One Thousand 300 Kilos per area unit will increase the harvest rate up to over 600 Tons per Hectare,” continued Shafiei. “If the government backs the development of this product’s cultivation, the harvest rate of Pistachio will increase ion the city Haji Aabad,” he emphasized.
