Monsanto Vegetable Seeds, who have brought together seed companies such as Seminis, De Ruiter and Western Seed, has introduced new seed varieties, during meetings organised in Italy.

The new varieties are: the cherry tomato 'Songo', the vine tomato 'Kadima', the pepper 'DSV 2074', de aubergine 'Basalto' and the tomato'Cikito'.

Cherry tomato Sogno

This is a new cherry tomato hybrid with long a vine. Every vine has at least 25 fruits with an average weight of circa 20 grams.

Vine tomato Kadima

This variety is known for its colour, size and firmness. 'Kadimir' is resistant against
TSWV (tomato spotted wilt virus).

Pepper DSV 2074

This is an average long yellow pepper, suitable for full ground and protected growing. 'DSV 2074' is uniform with a thick fruit flesh.

Aubergine Basalto

'Basalto' is a oval-round aubergine. The plant grows beautiful black fruits, without a tendency for a reddish colour.

Tomato Cikito

'Cikito' is a tasty tomato and for that reason this variety is a big succes in Italy as well as the rest of Northern Europe.
