Halls expands into France
HL Hall & Sons, a leading grower and importer of avocados, are pleased to announce the opening of their second European office based in France. The office, a branch of HL Hall (International) Ltd, will commence trading out of Rungis, Paris from 1st February 2010, giving Halls increased proximity and coverage of their expanding European customer base.
“With a good avocado crop in 2009, new lines of supply and our reputation for exceptional quality and service, we were able to develop new relationships with customers across the Continent, particularly in the French retail & wholesale markets. The excellent South African avocado crop and our responsiveness to what was a challenging market towards the end of last year allowed us to prove ourselves to those new customers and strengthen our relationships with those longstanding”, said Paul Devlin, Director of HL Hall (International) Ltd. “We want to build on that through 2010 by getting closer to our customers and ensuring the speedy and efficient programming of our growers’ fruit.”
Some of the current European trading team, to date based in Kent, England, will be relocating to France to take up their new positions. The Parisian office, with on-site cold storage & ripening facilities, will hold avocado, mango, litchi, citrus and other crops and serve Continental Europe. The UK sales force will continue to operate out of Kent.
HL Hall (International) Ltd, who celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2009, market fruit from the Halls farms in South Africa in addition to sourcing fruit from its worldwide partners to offer year round programmes to their customers.
