Morocco: French speaker cancels visit to Tomato conference in Agadir

The French director of Légumes de France, Angelique Delahaye, cancelled her visit to the tomato conference in Agadir at the last moment. Considering the current situation between Morocco and the EU, where French and Spanish growers, according to themselves, are suffering, she could not go.

The Moroccan organiser of the conference and national chairman of ASPEM, Mohammed Zahidi, regretted the cancellation. "Mrs Delahaye was invited to speak about the position of the French growers and the consequences of the exports from Morocco. In this manner, a way of working together could have been looked at." He also called the cancellation at the last moment 'disrespectful'.
