Agrexco commences pepper's export season

Agrexco's arsenal of CARMEL peppers offers a striking display of colours- green, red, orange, yellow and of course green, but most importantly, CARMEL peppers provide a unique eating experience in which not only taste plays a major role but also health. They are a good source for vitamin C and A, they contain dietary fibers and the red peppers are quite a good source for Beta Carotene.

The Ever Green Pepper, with its far sweeter taste and non altering green colour, is part of this colourful selection.

Besides premium quality reflected in their appearance, nutrition benefits  and enticing rich flavours, CARMEL peppers are sturdy and have proven themselves resilient to sea freight, carrying a promise for long shelf life. They are offered in a variety of packaging extenuating their colours.

Packaging play an important role in Agrexco's environmental policy. The new peppers'  packaging consists of brown carton, non-bleached, with minimal graphics which eliminates excessive use of colours  proven harmful for the environment.

Special attention was paid to the issue of weight in order to decrease use of raw materials. Efforts were proven successful and the effect was intensified by the "less packaging" principle resulting in decreasing pepper carton packaging weight  by 50%.

Apart from cost implications, this improved packaging extenuates the visual traits of the product, causing at the same time impressive decrease of the packaging volume and quantity negatively affecting the environment.

Agrexco has made all the necessary preparations for expanding its packaging capabilities of Traffic light or Mix Pack, according to the plans of the various chains.
Agrexco has a large base of pepper growers all over Israel. This spread out of pepper cultivation areas in different climate zones, enables the company to assure continuous supply of pepper all through the season. All of the growers hold a GlobalGAP plus TNC license as well as compliance with the strict strict standards of the European retail chains including the U.K. There are some groups of growers who have been certified to work vis-à-vis the various chains, according to their relevant standards.
