Professional Meeting for the horticultural sector
The Hortiberia Group believes that 'Fruit Attraction' is the best place to promote international marketing
The first edition of Fruit Attraction, for fruit and vegetables, opened its doors with expectations placed on fostering business opportunities for both exhibitors and attendees. These include the Hortiberia Group, whose Director General, Fermín Sánchez Navarro said about the event "being present at this event is a challenge for our consortium, which has the opportunity to expand it's horizons in the field of trade, due to the international perspective being marked by 'Fruit Attraction ".

The inauguration of 'Fruit Attraction', with which this professional event opened its doors in Madrid, enjoyed the presence of the Minister for Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Elena Espinosa; The Minister of Agriculture and Water in the Region of Murcia, Antonio Cerda and other autonomous community authorities, who wanted to support the setting throughout the first edition of a fair which was created with the aim of promoting the horticulture business sector and to encourage consumption of fruits and vegetables.
In this regard, the Director General of the Hortiberia Group has predicted that 'Fruit Attraction' will become a flagship event for the industry, it is essential to use the fact that Spain is the world's leading exporter of fruits and vegetables, followed by the U.S. and the Netherlands, and one of the main producers of the European Union, along with Italy and France. "
Fermín Sánchez Navarro, agrees and states "It is the perfect showcase for the nine partners of Hortiberia-Sat No 2457 San Cayetano, Miguel Parra e Hijos SA, Molinense Distribucion y Mercados S.A., Juan Marín Bravo SL, Producciones Agriculars del Sureste, Agromark 96 SA, Sat No.119Agricola Aguilena, Procomel, OPFH 1092 and Sat No 8890 Ole- which give a voice to the excellent quality products that are grown in the fields of Murcia.
Meeting point for the sector
In this first edition, 353 direct exhibitors participated- 293 producers, 60 suppliers, and 663 brands were represented, with an offer in three main areas: products, fresh fruit, vegetables, IV and V range, biological products, legumes, nuts, spices and herbs and quality designations-; providers and distributors and production services.
The fair activity has been completed with separate conferences. So in parallel, national and international experts will participate in a series of technical seminars related to topical issues such as production and marketing of the sector and encouraging consumption of fruits and vegetables. Along this line, we will develop several actions related to co-generation, plant health policy and European distribution.
With all that, 'Fruit Attraction' presents itself as the great call for producers, suppliers and customers for the distribution as well as a gathering point for the whole sector and a forum for the dissemination of innovation in all areas related to this activity and trade in fruits and vegetables. It is definitely a production fair, the horticultural diversity showcase and the 'know how' of producers.
