UK: Capespan ‘Working Together We Deliver A Greener World’

Capespan had a number of citrus containers on the first of Eddie Stobart's high speed trains from Valencia, Spain into Dagenham this week. The citrus fruit from grower Torres and Schuback, was met by Capespan representatives on arrival at The Co-operative Food’s Retail Logistics site in West Thurrock on Friday, 30th October.

The Co-operative, together with their partners Capespan, committed to use the service from the outset.  Jim Atkinson, Category Buyer – Produce for The Co-operative Food, said: ‘The end to end transit time was comparable with existing road transport yet would save up to 400,000 road miles in the first season.'
