UK: World Food award Asda prize
The first World Food Awards 2009 were held at the London Hilton on the 31st October, and Asda won the Best National Retailer category. The World Food Awards are organized by the World Foods Association, and Harry Dulai said that the aim is to ensure that ethnic foods is recognised as an important sector.
World food is a fast paced industry in mainstream markets.
Best Independent Retailer Award was won by V B & Sons.
