Enza Zaden expands its activities in China

Enza Zaden expands its activities in China by setting up a joint venture in Beijing and building a new Research and Development station in the South of China.

A second R&D station

After establishing a demonstration farm near the city of Shouguang, in Shandong province, in 2004, and a Research and Development station near Beijing in 2006, Enza Zaden now builds an additional Research and Development station in the South of China, in Ghuangzhou province.

A research station in the North and now also one in the South of China, allows Enza Zaden to develop climate and regionally adapted varieties. This means that the products of the seed company will now cover all the main vegetable growing regions in China.

Enza Zaden Beijing Seeds Co. Ltd

Next to these investments in Research and Development, Enza Zaden has set up a joint venture, named Enza Zaden Beijing Seeds Co. Ltd., for direct marketing and sales of vegetable seeds in China. In time, this company, which is already operational, is expected to contribute substantially to the further establishment of the Enza Zaden brand, products and results in the growing Chinese market.
