“We do much more than just the UK”
DailyFresh Logistics in full development
DailyFresh Logistics has grown extensively over the last few years. Through good service, the logistics company, which was established in 1998 by three share holders; Visbeen, Post-Kogeko and Norfolkline, have become the market leader in the fruit and vegetable sector in UK. "What most people don't know is that we do much more than just the UK", according to Sales Director Gert Noorderink. By having an innovative and distinguished position the company has grown extensively in the past few years.

With an eye on the future and by enlarging the network a considerable storage and
consolidation centre was built in Dunkirk in 2006. Here goods from Spain, France and Holland are gathered for transport to the UK. The ambition to expand further in Europe grew in 2008. To achieve this ambition DailyFresh took over the activities of Int-Veen in order to position themselves in Germany. "To service the German market we chose two locations, Venlo and New Amsterdam."

As well as the new German market, which is getting extra attention at the moment, DailyFresh are also busy with new projects such as a container service from Agadir-Marocco to Dunkirk. Following a successful trial run DailyFresh signed a cooperation contract with the Moroccan shipping company I.M.T.C. This service will officially begin in November. The trial run of the short-sea connection from Almeria to Dunkirk was also a success, DailyFresh are now looking at the possibility of a regular connection. "Along side this the Bilbao line to Zeebrugge with RO/RO trailers has our attention, Israel is also interested in our services", according to Gert.

"As well as new projects to realise our ambitions, we are always looking for improvements or changes which might be necessary", says Gert. "Our ambition as logistical service provider is to be there for our clients as a team 24/7 and to bring to Europe tailor-made solutions which are taken for granted in UK and Ireland."
