Horti Fair draws 34.043 trade visitors from around 100 countries
Last week Horti Fair 2009 took place in the RAI exposition hall in Amsterdam. More than ever before the international side of this horticultural platform was shown. The exhibitors were in general satisfied with the fair. The exporters, especially made many international contacts. The fair was quite a bit more compact than previous years with 740 participants, but this definitely enhanced the well-organised event.

Although various suppliers preferred a bi-annual fair this will not happen according to Director Wim van der Loo of the Horti Fair. The number of visitors was in excess of 34,000 according to the organisers this morning. "This total is indeed a lot lower than the more than 47,000 last year, but the fair was just as complete. The new pavillions, such as AVAG Market for specialised suppliers to the hothouse horticulture and Carrière Plaza clearly satisfied a need for transfer of knowledge.

12 to 15 October, in 2011 from 11 to 14 October and the following year from 9 to 12 October all in RAI Amsterdam. Prospects for 2010 are promising: more than 70% of this years visitors have intimated to visit the next edition of the Horti Fair.
