Belgium: Hortiplan invests in the future of MGS
As of October 1st the Hortiplan-team was strengthened by contracting Kurt Cornelissen, who formerly worked as a senior researcher on organic greenhouse vegetables at the Vegetable Research Center (PCG) in Kruishoutem (Belgium). Kurt will work as business development manager for MGS (mobile gully system), the mobile system for NFT-growing of lettuce and herbs.

MGS combines NFT-growing of lettuce and herbs with a maximized use of the surface as the gullies - which at the beginning are put one next to the other – move apart throughout the production cycle. As the system is based on recirculation, no nutrients are lost during production. Ergonomics and less labour are other important advantages. With a central harvesting station and full automation MGS is the system to grow lettuce and herbs in the future.
As every year Hortiplan will also be present at the Horti Fair in 2009. This year the theme is "sustainability". With MGS the Hortiplan stand is a must see at the fair. You can find the stand in room 1 (number 01.0509). We would like to welcome you. You can meet with Kurt Cornelissen and check out what MGS could mean for you.
Horti Fair is held in Amsterdam (RAI) from October 13th until October 16th. The fair opens every day from 10 until 19 o’clock.
